[Abstract] Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) is a frequent cause of sudden death in the young. Since 1970s, many imaging centers have accumulated much more experience. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overall review of the definition, cardiomyopathy classification update, diagnosis and especially cardiovascular magnetic resonance update on ARVC.
