[Abstract] As a new non-invasive magnetic resonance diagnostic technique developed in recent years, magnetic resonance elastography (MRE), which can quantitatively measure the stiffness in living tissue by shear wave. MRE has high sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic performance in staging of liver fibrosis, which behave important clinical value. With the continuous development of MRE technology, hardware and software, there are great progress in the imaging methods, scanning sequences and post-processing of MRE. This paper reviews the advance of this new technology and the recently progress of MRE in staging of liver fibrosis.
