[Abstract] Hepatic cystic echinococcosis (HCE) is a zoonotic parasitic disease infected by echinococcus granulosus. It can occur in all organs, especially in the liver. It is distributed globally and is mainly popular in the southwest and northwest pastoral areas in China. The early symptoms of the disease are usually not obvious, but it causes great harm to human health when it develops to the later stages. This paper gives a brief review of the multimodal imaging and its application in HCE, in order to improve the understanding of early diagnosis and the treatment.
