[Abstract] High-resolution magnetic resonance vessel wall imaging (HRMR-VWI) is a diagnostic imaging technique used to evaluate and differentiate intracranial vascular lesions. It's detection rate of intracranial atherosclerotic plaques has obvious advantages over traditional imaging methods, and it can effectively display the wall structure and plaque properties, and now it has been widely used in clinical research. Intracranial atherosclerotic plaque is one of the main culprits of ischemic stroke, the detection and evaluation of which is very necessary for the prevention and treatment of ischemic stroke. This paper reviews the imaging features of intracranial atherosclerotic plaque and its relationship with risk factors affecting its stability, brain circulation.
