[Abstract] High-grade glioma (HGG) and brain metastasis (BM) are the two most common types of malignant intracranial tumors. Their treatment strategy and prognosis are different. Therefore, it is of great significance to differentiate HGG from BM preoperatively. This paper reviews the research progress of specific imaging signs on conventional MRI and the research progress of multiple functional MRI (fMRI) in the differential diagnosis of HGG and BM, in order to provide reference for clinical differential diagnosis and follow-up research.
