[Abstract] Diffuse axonal injury (DAI) is a serious form of brain injury, which is a primary cause of the death and disability of patients. The clinical manifestations of DAI lack specificity. Therefore the imaging diagnosis is attracting more and more attention. With the continuous development of MR technique, the MRI diagnostic level of DAI is also gradually improving. This article reviews the various MRI sequences for diagnosing DAI and predicts the future prospects of their application.
