Advances of magnetic resonance perfusion imaging in hypertensive cerebrovascular diseases

[Abstract] MR perfusion-weighted imaging (PWI) can non-invasively evaluate the status of brain blood perfusion. By its two methods, dynamic susceptibility magnetic resonance imaging (DSC-PWI) and arterial spin labeling (ASL), it can evaluate brain ischemia, hemorrhage, and hemodynamic change caused by hypertension, which is helpful for a further understanding of the pathophysiological mechanism in hypertensive encephalopathy.
