[Abstract] Characterized by repeated pain attacks, migraine has been recognized as a kind of chronic dysfunctional disease. In the past decades, researcher have carried out a large quantity of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) studies on migraine. In the current paper, we tried to provide a review of previous fMRI studies focusing on the following three aspects: the neuro-mechanisms of migraine, the dysfunctions of resting state brain networks of migraine and fMRI studies involving migraine and acupuncture.
